For Immediate Release Senate Confirms Three IUP AppointmentsDelaney, Holman reappointed, Miller joins panel The Senate Monday confirmed three appointments to seats on the Indiana University of Pennsylvania's Council of Trustees, according to Senator Don White, R-41st District. Council President Susan Snell Delaney and Member Mark Holman were reappointed to new terms on the panel, while James C. Miller was confirmed to fill an open seat on the board. "I am pleased that the Senate confirmed these appointments," said Senator White. "Susan Delaney and Mark Holman have been strong advocates for IUP and I expect Jim Miller will step right in and be a real plus for the school as well." Delaney is Vice-President and Secretary of Delaney Chevrolet. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of the school, Delaney received the IUP President's Medal of Distinction in 2001. She is active in numerous community organizations and has served as a member of the IUP Council of Trustees since 1997. Holman, an IUP alumni, is a senior partner at Blank Rome Government Relations and a former Deputy Homeland Security Adviser to President George W. Bush. Prior to working in the Office of Homeland Security, Holman served as Chief of Staff to Governor Tom Ridge for over 18 years. Before his experience with Ridge, he served on the staff of the late United States Senator John Heinz. Miller is Chairman and CEO of S&T Bancorp, Inc. and S&T Bank. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and an MBA from Penn State. Miller is active in various community organizations, including his position as Chair of the Indiana Healthcare Corporation Foundation.
